NME 50 Greatest Live Albums Of All Time

NME는 1954년에 창간되어 꾸준히 사랑받고 있는 영국의 대표적인 음악전문지입니다. 이곳에서 지난 2011년, 역대 최고의 라이브 앨범 50장을 선정했는데, 힙합과 알앤비 장르에서는 5작품이 보이네요. 라이브 공연 특유의 생동감 넘치는 연주와 무대의 열기를 담아 스튜디오 레코딩과는 전혀 다른 감흥을 전달하는 데 주력하는 특성이 잘 살아있는 앨범들이 즐비합니다. 확실히 알앤비 쪽에서는 '60-'70년대 소울/펑크 거장들의 작품이 선정되었으며, 다른 장르에 비해 라이브 앨범의 비율이 현저히 적은 힙합이지만, 제이지(Jay Z)가 2011년에 발표한 [MTV Unplugged]가 무려 7위에 오른 게 눈에 띄네요. 백업 밴드를 담당한 루츠(The Roots)의 편곡과 연주가 참 인상적인 앨범이었죠. 아래는 전체 리스트입니다.
